Gur Home Study Course - High Perceived Value
Now to take advantage of these and to generate the
most customers what I recommend that you do is start
creating some content to give away.
Remember I talk about free line content. The thing
about lead generation we want to really become
discipline we wanna focus in on one particular type
of content.
We wanna ask ourself the question
“What is the biggest pain, what’s the biggest frustration,
what’s the biggest problem that our customers facing right now”
And then we want to create free teaser content or some
free line content, to give away. So for example let’s
say I’m gonna create an information product course
on how to get out of debt. And I know that my prospects
their biggest pain, their biggest frustration is their
credit card debt. And I know that the problem is their
monthly payments.
Let’s say that I’ve figured all that out by thinking
it through. Well I’m gonna do then is I want to create
a one hour video called “How to cut your credit card
monthly payments in half”.
And then I’m gonna out online and I’m gonna write blog
posts. I’m going to go to social media websites and I’m
gonna start discussion groups. And I’m gonna go on
pay-per-click and gonna start bidding on terms around
debt. I’m gonna start an affiliate programs and I’m gonna
give my affiliate partners a link that allows them to
offer this free content and attracts all the sales so
I can pay them later.
You follow, I’m gonna use this as my bait. Once I’ve
got this video, that as solid hour of really high value
content, something that I can say is worth $97 dollars.
I can then go out and say
“Free $97 video training teaches how to cut your credit card payments in half.”
And I know that because that’s the thing that they’re
the most frustrated about, they’re most pain because
I work that through and I figure that out that that’s
going to be the bait that pulls in the most customers.
And you can do that in your niche. I’ve done it in my
niches, in fact it’s part of what where doing right now.

Guru Home Study Course - Lead Generation Models
So you choose to optin to our list to get even more free
great stuff and now what I’m doing is I’m giving you
education and training to give you an experience of the
value of our training of our content because down the road
we’re going to be offering various types of training and I’m
hoping that you will consider one of those things.
These what’s called a lead generation model.
It’s a multi-step model where instead of you showing up and
me saying “Give me a bunch of money, you show up and I say
Let me give you a bunch of stuff for free that’s really
going to help you out.” So this is the mindset it’s called
lead generation. I’m gonna generate some leads or going to
build a list to very interested prospects and then I’m going
to offer more and more value and education and more stair
stepping, and then eventually when we offer our actual
product, you’ll be able to make a really good decisions.
That’s a lead generation mindset.
So how we then use the Internet to take this technique and
just scale it up and blow it up and get lots of leads and
get lots of customers?
Well there are many tools that the Internet has created
that are literally like miracles for a information product
marketing. Some of the free tools that we have available to
us like blogs, and social media websites, and search engine
optimization, these are areas that we can learn about where
we can get put up free blogs online, we can put websites
and put up our contents on our website and optimize it so
the search engines find it.
There are other things like video, where we can upload
videos to Youtube or we can social media websites like
Twitter and Facebook, these are great place where you can go
out, we can connect with other people, we can network, we
can put our content online great free areas.
There are also paid tools that we can use on the Internet
that never existed before. There are things like banner ads
and email advertising that we can buy. We can buy placement
on big search engines like Yahoo and Google. All those
results that appear on the right hand side of Google, those

Now let talk a little bit about the customer pillar.
About how to get customers.
One of the miracles of the Internet, or the modern tools
that allow us to generate customers and get them to come to
our websites. We can combine this with models that have
worked for decades, in the past we can put them together and
make very powerful systems for getting customers for very
little and in many cases no money.
So here’s a mindset for generating customers that comes from
the direct marketing world.
It’s something that is serve marketers for decades and it’s
something that you can use to great advantage on the
Internet. Most businesses what they’re trying to do is
they’re trying to sell their product, it’s like one shot. I
want someone to come to my website, see the cover of my
product, enter in their credit card, give me $249 dollars,
get my products ship to them and then never bother me again.
Now that’s a great utopian mindset but that problem with it
is that it’s not the way reality works. That’s not the way
things work in the real world. Most of the people that come
to a website they’re not educated, they don’t know what they
want, they don’t know how much value your product offers and
they aren’t ready to just enter their credit card and give
you $250 bucks.

researching, they’re looking at their options, they trying
to understand their problem and if you say to them “I tell
you what, if you enter your name and email on this website,
I will give you a bunch of really great stuff and then you

Guru Home Study Course - High Perceived Value
I’m gonna suggest to you that if you can get 3 yeses that you’re
going to reduce the probability of failure, from 80%-90% down to
flipping the odds over so you got 10%-20% chance of failure.
So that’s my experience. In fact for the last several years, we
have launched several different businesses in several different
niches and now we have several businesses that are all working.
Our odds are much much higher. In fact in businesses they are
almost impossible. How do we keep reinventing, how do we keep
choosing niches and launching products that are successful,
because of using these 3 question tests in my mind.
So there’s a great system for choosing a niche.
Now other consideration that you have to think about when you are
creating information products are “What format am I going to
choose?” “Am I going to create a book, or “Am I going to create an audio course?” or Am I going to create a video course”
A seminar, a coaching program, a webinar, a member area, and all
these different format that’s have their advantages and
disadvantages. So think carefully which format you’re going to
choose. And also, you need to think about packaging, the way you
package your product, what you make it look like, it increase the
perceive value by double, or triple or sometimes in 10 times.

Let’s talk about your conversion pillar.
Conversion. This is where you ask your prospect to take action in
some way. Now you notice when you visit most websites. They’re
all making the huge mistake. They don’t have a big bold call to
action when you arrive at the website.
Now I’m kind of a known in the Internet marketing circles as the
father of the landing page because we were the first one
commercially in kind of a wide scale to put up a landing page
where you got to a website you had to enter your name and email
address before you can come inside.
The secret is that was actually something that my buddy Dean
Jackson taught me and he invented that. To me he’s maybe like the
great grandfather of the landing page. We were really the one
that spread it. And there are tens of thousands of people that
are copied our landing page. And a lot of occasions word for
word and are using it all over the Internet now. So you starting
to see them more and more.

Guru Home Study Course - Pain and Urgency and Irrational Passion
Trying to talk to people what you are selling is very very
challenging. You want to avoid that. So, question 2, is my
prospect pro-actively looking for a solutions?
And then question number 3. Does my prospect have few or no
perceived options? What does this mean? Well it means that where
your prospect is at, when they got this pain and urgency or this
irrational passion this emotional need, they gone out and looking
for solutions. They’re searching for options to fix their
problems or get the results that they want.
Are they finding options? Do they perceive that they have lots of
options? Because if they do, then you’re dealing with
competition. Then you have to convince them why your solution is
better and you’re gonna be dealing with price competition etc
etc.
I like to enter markets where there are few or no perceived
options.
In the book “Positioning” Al Ries and Jack Trout they talk about
creating a new category that you can be first in. The modern book
that’s come out that’s another spin in this technique is this
book called “Blue Ocean Strategy”. Go into blue ocean create a
new niche that you can be first in. In our business we created
dating advice.
There’s a lot of relationship advice out there that no one in the
mainstream was really teaching dating advice. So we launch dating
advice we marketed that we are first in it and we grew it and now
we are. We are number one in dating advice. We’ve done very well
with that one. So, is your prospect experiencing pain and urgency
or irrational passion that they have an emotional drive to take
action.
Number 2. Are they pro- actively looking for solutions or they’re
out looking to find solutions if they gotten off their lazy butt.
